'Hopton' is a classical floor design which is simple but elegant.
Hopton Limestone is extracted from the Hopton Wood Quarry near Matlock in Derbyshire.
It is renowned for its great beauty and is unsurpassed as a stone for building and sculpture. Many scupltors have worked with this remarkable limestone, including Eric Gill, who used it for his bas-relief Stations of the Cross in Westminster Cathedral.
