We introduced our first small range of miniature wallpapers and fabrics for serious collectors of dolls houses in 2006 and have since gained a world-wide reputation for unrivalled quality and for historical accuracy. We have used original wallpaper and textile designs to create a range of beautiful and exclusive wallpapers for dolls houses. Our entire collection of wall and floor papers and exquisite printed silks and cottons is prepared and printed by ourselves to ensure consistent high quality and a personal service.
Most of our dolls house wallpapers are taken from 18th and early 19th century originals found in important English and French houses of the period. Recent additions are a range of late 19th and early 20th century original designs researched from the archives of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and another collection taken from the Silver Studio wallpapers held in the archives of MoDA, the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture.
We also have a range of superbly detailed wood, stone and marble floor papers – again, all are accurately reproduced from antique floors.
Most of our dollshouse wallpaper designs are available as printed silk crêpe de chine or cotton sateen and we are usually able to provide plain self-colours in both fabric and wallpaper, to match the main background colours in most designs. Since all printing is done only by ourselves, we are able to achieve an extremely close match between wallpaper and fabrics.
Everything in our collections – dollshouse wallpapers, floor papers and fabrics – is available in both 1:12th and 1:24th scales.
We are often able to provide bespoke sizes and colours please get in touch to discuss your ideas.
On a personal note –‘the team’ consists of Susan and Andrew. The business was started after Susan retired from full-time primary teaching and needed a project to ‘fill the gap’. Her husband Andrew has many years’ experience in printing, colour reproduction and digital imaging, and has won awards for fine art reproductions. He has produced pre-press artwork for the major wallpaper houses and also creates large digital images of wood and stone for the flooring industry. He is, of course, the technical genius!
