Castle Howard is one on England’s most important houses, designed by Vanbrugh for Charles Howard, 3rd Earl of Carlisle in 1699 and still home to the Howard family.
We are grateful to The Hon. Simon Howard for allowing us to reproduce as a miniature wallpaper the silk and wool damask wallcovering in the Turquoise Drawing Room at Castle Howard. This beautiful fabric was specially commissioned for Castle Howard when the room was restored in 2001. It has also been used to cover the giltwood settees and chairs which are by John Linnell and date from around 1775.
